The NECC Faith Formation Center offers programs of faith formation to God’s children of all ages that speak to our diverse population with special attention to the culture of storytelling and intergenerational learning.
Weekly virtual prayer opportunities and Faith Formation registration!
During this time of pandemic, join us virtually for a weekly online Rosary each Saturday morning at 10 AM via Zoom and weekly Bible Study via phone conference each Thursday evening from 8 to 9 PM.
On the first Friday of each month, the Faith Formation program offers a Family Faith Friday, where families gather together to discover the stories that build our faith. In our first year, we listened to, acted out, worked with the stories in the Book of Exodus ending our journey with watching Dreamwork’s “Prince of Egypt.” This past year, we journeyed through the book of Genesis and ended our journey with watching Dreamwork’s “Joseph, King of Dreams.” Our youth will add to this journey by attending the musical “Joseph and the technicolor Dream coat” offer by Toby’s Dinner Theatre. Both years we learned and experienced how God created the Earth and all its inhabitants and how God continued to care and provide for us in the stories of our ancestors in faith.

In 2014, these churches opened the NECC Faith Formation Center to offer a joined Faith Formation program, sacramental preparation programs, youth and young adult ministries, and adult faith formation. The Faith Formation Center is, therefore, both a continuation and expansion of the former religious education program that was offered at St. Thomas Moore parish.
Love sharing your faith? Try teaching it!
If you love sharing your faith, then challenge yourself to consider becoming a teacher of faith in our Faith Formation Programs.
Our regular Faith Formation classes are for students from grades 1 through 8. Volunteering in our programs offers opportunities for all talents. Some of us are great in listening to and working with smaller children and some of us have a talent to relate with our teenagers. While you share your faith with our students, they will share theirs with you and so we all learn together and deepen our faith and our understanding of how we move within the tradition of the Catholic Church.
Classes are for grades one through eight. For our youth ministry program, we are always looking for leaders as well. Please take some time to prayerfully reflect if God is calling you to become one of our Faith Formation teachers. All volunteers are required to complete VIRTUS training for child and youth protection. This training is required for anyone 18 years or older working with minors. There is a separate training for volunteers ages 14-18.
